Compressor controlPetrotech’s compressor control solutions are designed to give the user a wide range of flexible and economical compressor control and protection capabilities. Over the past three decades, Petrotech has developed a series of software algorithms that can be hosted in many different control systems. These algorithms are based on Mach number similarity principles.  This results in a simpler concept than "reduced polytrophic head." A simpler algorithm is more robust and runs faster in a processor than a more complex one.

Flexibility of controller platforms means a lower cost of ownership by integrating compressor solutions into the user’s preferred PLC controller. No separate controller is required. For those instances where integrating the control into a PLC system is not practical or cost effective, Petrotech also provides the same field-proven solutions in a series of stand-alone and add-on products.

Petrotech compressor solutions are classified:

ASC Anti-Surge Control for centrifugal and axial gas compressors.  The ASC logic employs comprehensive strategies to deal with severe process upsets such as: high-gain backup control (i.e., backstop control), configurable input signal filtering options, surge detection, automatic surge control margin adjustment and recycle transfer control.
